A reservation fee must be paid in order to hold a puppy. The reservation is made after we have discussed what you are interested in and if we feel there is going to be a puppy available that will meet your needs in the near future. Dogwoods usually only breeds one or two litters a year.
Many times litters aren't advertised because the anticipated number of puppies are already spoken for before they are born. In the event there is an extra puppy available, there is usually a waiting list for our puppies and the first prospective buyer on the list (who has sent a deposit) will have the option of the available puppy. That is the reason that when you decide you would like a puppy from Dogwoods, and we have agreed, the sooner a deposit is sent, the better. We are often talking to several people at once and there are a limited number of puppies available.
Reservation fees are non-refundable. The only exception to this rule is when the puppy you have asked for (usually sex or temperment) is not available. We will not guarentee the color or markings of a puppy, except in the case of a show prospect. Deposits may be made through PayPal, check or money order. |
